Providing support during times of emergency
The Neighbourhood Hub provides emergency relief, support and resources to the Mackay community.
Community Connect workers are based in Neighbourhood Centres to support to individuals and families with complex needs. This service helps link people to community and specialist support services, through referrals and tailored support.
The Emergency Relief Program provides material aid in the form of food hampers, food or fuel vouchers to community members who are experiencing financial crisis.
A space located at the 4 George Street Centre where community members can access essential services and support in a flexible, accessible, and safe environment.
Held every Wednesday morning starting at 10 am this is a FREE event where community members can access a meal, collect food donations, connect with other local Mackay community members as well as receive assistance and support from the TNHub team.
With the support of local supermarkets we have food donations available Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 3 pm.
(We cannot always guarantee what is available at the Centre).
Knowing Your Neighbour is always important, especially in times of disaster or if there is an emergency.
